It's my first boulder Opal cab! This stuff is soft. It cuts so easy... too easy. I could sand it down to nothing real quick. It was fun. Thanx for lookin'.

Boulder opals are very soft, especially the lighter colored ones. But you're right, they're fun to work and you did a great job Joe.

Thanx Ed! What wheels do you work this rock on? I started on the 220g wheel and went up thru the usual stages from there. What do you do?

I like it Joe. I like the beveled edges on that cab, and the Opal is sweet. Steve

Ah, nice. It's the stone I want to try next. I just can't get past the cost for the tiny pieces you get!

Thanx you all!! Your comments make me want to go out and shine more stone now! Since it's 12 degrees this morning I must wait 'till the garage warms up. Thanks again!

lookin good joe that B-opal can be a booger but i like the cut -- i find lighter and longer on the last two wheels makes for a better shine, even more so with the light colored stuff too much pressure and ya keep knockin out tiny pieces that will mess with the shine
