These will be the last cabs for at least a week or more. I'm going to New Mexico for a long weekend and when I get back I've got to work on my grinder and install the new 80g wheel I've had for a couple of months now. The old wheel just isn't cutting it anymore(so to speak) ;D These are all from a box of mixed slabs I got from Jamie so she will have to let me know exactly what they are. This first one sparkles in the light unknown Arizona agate Jasper/agate? Thanks for looking.

Nice cabs again Ed. I probably sound like a broken record responding the same as usual....but they are all fantastic. I like the last one best. Have a safe and well-deserved trip, I assume it's a vacation. Steve

Well they sure are beauties! The unknown one is my fave, I just love that one. Hope you have a good time checkin' out NM. Are you really moving? We should have a ceremony for your old wheel. It shaped MANY perfect cabs!! The old wheel is dead! Long live the new wheel!!!

As usual, those look terrific. I have to agree about that unknown - that one looks really interesting. I would have loved to see the whole slab!
You sure picked a cold weekend to come check out NM. Hope it warms up a little for you. It's quite chilly right now.

Thanks guys. The unknown is actually the matrix of an Arizona agate. I cut the nodule just short of halfway and saw all these cool ovals sitting below the agate and decided to remove the agate and try polishing the matrix. Thinking outside the box I guess, and it payed off.
This trip to NM is kind of a vacation, I hope to hook up with Sandsman and Susan on one of the days. The other day will be to drive around and check out the area because, yes, we may be moving there sometime after the end of Feburary. My wife's job is ending out here and the program is moving to either the east coast or Las Cruces, so, gotta go where the money goes. It's been pretty chilly here too, so it won't make much difference. That's going to be one of the most difficult changes for me, I really don't like hot weather. So I guess we'll just have to get a house with an air conditioned garage so I can sit and cut rocks and be comfortable!
Well, if Jamie sees this post maybe she can tell us what type of rocks these are.

Don't think you could make a less than beautiful cab if you tried. Yours are always beautiful.
