Well, I finally joined the party. Here's my first four cabs. African lace agate from Kim Tiger eye from Stoner Two Brazilian agates They haven't been polished yet cause I'm waiting for diamond paste, but I promised Stoner I'd turn in my homework by tomorrow. So this is how they look comin' off the grinder . . . hope ya like 'em. The tiger eye is pretty cool - that wide brown band in the middle turns gold when the cab is turned. Couldn't see the dust when I took the pic - another lesson learned. Rich

Very nice Rich, you definetly get an A++++++++++ and I'll add one more plus when you get your diamond paste, although they look like they've got a great shine now. I noticed that nice flash of the tiger eye when I packed it in the box. Nice choice of cuts on the stones too. Got any more? Oh yea, I seem to remember somebody telling me to use a tack cloth to remove the dust before taking pics!

I'm laughin' Stoner. That's all I could think of when I first saw that pic (full screen to boot!)
Another lesson I learned - put a rug down on the basement floor. Cab #5 was gonna be a little bloodstone trapezoid. Two wheels to go. I was just lookin' at it and dropped it on the concrete floor. Picked it up, no harm done, and dropped it again. No luck this time - it's gonna have to be a different shaped trapezoid or a little home plate now!
Thanks everyone. Rich

holy crap, Rich, you are a natural.....those are gorgeous!!!!!!! another reason to put a little rug down on the concrete is to keep your feet from freezing off....welcome to the Cab Club!!! looking forward to seeing more great stuff from ya!
