That is my personal best. Of course it was possible only thanks to diamond wheel and belts. I managed to make all 12 of them in little less then 6 hours. Here they are: Top row (left to right): Boblia Picture Jasper (from one of my rock trips - same location where my orbicular jaspers came from). British Columbia Jade (thanks to Snowdog) Hungarian Agate (bought at Budapest rock fair) Ruby in zoisite (bought at Budapest rock fair) Orbicular Jasper (bought at Budapest rock fair) Middle row (left to right): Frushka Gora Agate Lapis lazuli (bought at Budapest rock fair) Malachite (bought at Budapest rock fair) Bottom row (left to right): Frushka Gora Agate with carbonate Letze Agate Letze Lace Agate Letze Agate Some close ups: Thanks for looking Zocky

Diamond wheels and belts eh... How much coffee was involved in the making of these beauties? Lots I'll bet! They are all, every one of them, Smithsonian quality examples of cabs. They should be enshrined somewhere. The first one however is the absolute best.

Wow, those are nice - love the pic jasper. My personal best is 20 cabs in one day (a 10 hour day).

Very nice work Zotika. Love the shapes on all of them, but I have to say, the ruby in zoisite is my fav. Not bad for a days work(play).

No offense, Zocky, but I really didn't pay much attention to anything after #1. That's definitely one of them 'holy crappers!'.
It's also neat having some new names for a change . . . Boblia . . . Frushka Gora . . .

Thank you all. how did you polish that ruby in zoisite? i've read that one is hard to polish. Kim, I used diamonds all the way. From grinding to polishing. Diamond paste works just fine. I tried earlier with SiC for grinding and sanding but it was real trouble. With diamonds it is much easier, you just need to be careful to apply absolutely light pressure while working on zoisite areas, because if you lose your concentration you lose your cab's shape. Mel, that is really Matra Mt Agate. You had to see how proud was the Hungarian girl (I think mineralogy student) that sold me Matra Mt Agate. Rightly.

Zotica: I've got a few books a seen a few websites with pics of Matra Mountains Moss Agate and I've got to say that young gal has someting to be proud about. I think that moss is hands down one of the top four or five varieties of moss agate in the world....mel
