This isn't really fair, Ed....You show two stellar materials, exquisitely cabbed, and ask us to choose which is best. I choose....BOTH! Okay, if you really want me to pick one over the other, I'd pick the fire agate. Just seems to be more complexity there, and I sense that the fire agate shows off its fire from all angles, whereas the rainbow may be a more directional thing. But definitely both are winners. -Don

That's an impossible choice! Whichever one I am currently looking at is "The Best". Those are all excellent stones! You rock!!

Both are amazing - I can't make a decision!
Oh ok - I like the fire agate because I've never seen it before but on the other hand that rainbow obsidian is perfect........
Nope - can't make a decision after all!

Damn Ed! I looked at the rainbow and told myself it was no contest, how can anything possibly be better than that? Then I scroll down a bit and see the fire - *mouth dropped to the keyboard* and now, well, I'm completely stumped?! Mother Nature & Ed! What a pair!

Sung to the tune of that song from the wizard of oz:
"somehooooow I like the rainbow it's my favorite cab and though the fire is nice the rainbow makes it look drab."
Thank you. I'm here all week. Please try the veal.

Truly amazing stones you have there. I am totally impressed with them, but the obsidian pic#3 from the top is one of my favorites. I'm a big fan of obsidian and I love the curves of the lines going through the stone.

Thanks everyone. I have to admit, I'm partial to the fire agates because they are so much fun to coax the fire out in the open. The piece in the last photo is my favorite. Those blue spots you see are actually inside the stone. But the obsidian is really nice to see the colors appear as the cab is turned so it catches the light. Kim, the colors can be seen straight on if the person wearing it was outside or in a fairly bright room.
