I've got about 10 cabs in various stages but these 3 are the only ones I've got done. The temp has been in the 20's here at night so I go out in the garage and grind for about 30 minutes at a time, then come in the house to warm up. Not sure what this is, it was in the box of slabs I got from Rhodescabbin. Any ideas? Arizona Pet Wood from Jamie A Laguna agate using my special back-lighting technique. I'll have more tomorrow. Thanks for looking

Wow that Laguna is awesome, has a turtleback type pattern...I am uncertain what the first cab is. It does remind me of some oddball Agate I got in the last batch of the New Red Crazy Lace several years ago in Tuscon...The miner threw them in on the deal and told me to give it a try. No Lace pattern but pretty red speckles. Thats my guess. Did it grind hard like Agate??? Thanks for always sharing your pictures you do good work!!!-Dale Rhode

the first one look like a fossil agate- Banjo had some a while back- I tumbled some- but it was a bugger and a half to get to cooperate- ground and ground for weeks and weeks- did take a nice polish

Wow Ed, some more gresat cabs! I really like the first two. The pet wood is really nice. I've seen some areas in the flame agate vein material with that frothy pink look to them but that one is pretty unusual. Makes a pretty cab anyway!..mel

Thanks for the info on the first one Dale. I'll cut another cab from one of the other slabs I have and this time I'll take a picture of the slab as well. But it will have to wait because it's still very cold around here.
