Been playing with some more boulder opals and came across this cool piece. This one isn't a finish cab yet because I haven't quite figured out what to do with it. It has a blue flash throughout the stone when it catches the light just right. Check out these pics Now you see it... Now you don't. Another angle A few more Boulders. Oh, and this one is for Rich. A couple of poppy jaspers. I found this piece of green poppy jasper at my local shop. The poppies kind of got blended together as I was grinding the dome on this cab. And a few agates using my back lighting method. Brazilian 2 Lagunas Thanks for looking.

Beautiful Ed!!! I was gonna grind last night- But my daughter begged me to take her out skiing- it was such a wonderful night (not too cold- and a light snow falling) that we went out a skied around the yard until dinner! By then I was just to tuckered out to grind (that is the 3rd day in a row I've been skiing- heck if I keep it up I might actually start losing that 30Lb spare tire I've been carrying around for too long)

Great job ed, that opal with the blue is killer, like the 2nd poppy also and the brazilian and the 2 lagunas are sharp also - I guess you had the day off yesterday.

Oh man, those are so good. I have a cab machine, but I don't take that much time to make cabs. This kind of stuff motivates me to make them again.

Thanks for the Bruneau fix, Ed. And the rest of that batch is far from shabby. That Brazilian is a knockout, and poppy #2, and the Lagunas, esp. #2.
Sounds like the name of a band . . . Poppy and the Lagunas!
