I said this was going to be the smallest thing I ever worked without a dop. I will probably never again try something this small without a dop. Fingers are not happy... Boulder Opal was given to me by Tony. Thank you Tony!! Small opal If that was supposed to be the smallest why did I do this one? This is way too small and I couldn't really hold it well. Thanx for lookin'!

But you insisted on showin' the dop in all the pics! ;D I had to pick up a pencil just to see how small that baby is! Rich

Those small ones will make your fingers hurt for sure. They came out great though Joe. But shouldn't these be called "Pebble Opals"? I've never seen a boulder that small.

Awwwwwwwwww aren't they just too sweet!? That pencil just puts that into perspective - man that's small, no dop stick is that small anyways!
That second one with the blue flashes, just makes it all worth while! it's beautiful!|

Thanx gang! Yeah, they started out as Boulder Opal and wound up as Pebble Opal. Kinda like Bugs Bunny chopping down a Redwood tree to make a toothpick!! The fingers are recovering nicely.

I've never tried any that small. I always hold mine in my hand but would have to dop those. Are you making rings with them? Trish

Well Trish, I guess that's the sign of an amateur like me!! I never even though about what to do with them. I'm just fascinated when stuff comes out good and it all sits on the kitchen counter so I can see it as I walk by. I suppose I should try to figure out something to do with this stuff!!
