Well I did these over the the weekend. Friday it got up to 54 so I got to do some sawing. Back in Texas 54 was too cold to saw but up here in Kansas 54 feels pretty warm. Don't know - got it from ed some ocean jaspers look for me in the contest section - what's my name I did this one and found a nice druzy pocket in the side but it didn't break - stone canyon jasper close up of the druzy pocket a couple of Eel River poppy jaspers amy sage iris agatre from bearcreek can't remember hickorite one of personal favs - this is a texas pic jasper and is some of the hardest material i've ever worked with woodridge agate antelope flower jasper St. John's flower agate fairburn agate - the blemish on the top is a water mark I didn't clean off before taking the pic. a couple bruneau jaspers I finished off the water with some mess opals this one has lots of fire but has some holes/pits also thanks for looking robert

what a great batch of cabs robert! is the "can't remember" one a flower jasper too? you have so many nice ones that i can't decide on a favorite - it's a tie between the iris agate and the st john's with several more that might be in the tie if i think on it too much lol.

Nice work Robert, i like all the shapes. I agree Kim, the Iris and St johns would be my favs. I like the Iris becasue the shape can siut a horizontal setting which ascents the pattern as a vest. I can say that Antelope piece is not Antelope however, Its the other very similar Flower jasper from Oregon that often goes by the name of Cheiness dendrtic. That second to the last boulder piece is really nice too. I do have a suggestion, which im sure your qiute aware of. Seems like some color shifts in allot of the photos? Kinda of pink or red coloration? If you use a gray background to "warm" up your camera, then switch over to a black, it may help. Thanks for posting these either way, they are very nice examples none the less.

Thanks all, my personal fav is the pic jasper followed closely by the St. John's, the fairburn and the 2nd eel river poppy. Shain has helped me out once again and hopefully in the future the pics will be better.

That was fun. It was like walking through a cab art show. What a productive weekend.

Holy crap Robert, that is a fine set of cabs. Great shapes and variety of stones. Did you have any problems with the St John's fracturing? I really like that stuff but the piece I have is prone to fracturing. You can fill the pits on the boulder opal with super glue and then sand and polish it and it will look great.

thanks for the tips ed, how long does it take for the glue to set up? The St. John's has some fractures in the slabs I cut but I tried to work around those as much as possible - I'll send you a piece to work with.
