Howdy..........This is a piece of flint from western MT. It has some pretty neat patterns in it. The apparant cracks are actually filled with clear agate. Hey Dave Dave is this similar to your Ohio flint? This stuff is pretty scarce around here..........Bob

If you tilt your head to the right, it looks like an executioner with a giant ax. If you tilt your head to the left, it looks like a smoldering trash can. ;D Too cool!!

Hahahaha! Randy...I just did the head tilt thing then read what Space posted. You are the cause of many RTH'rs needing Chiro work now!
As I'm walking & picking up locals (rocks...not men) I find quite a few rounded stones with similar compositions to the above. Almost looks like a picasso stone. I love em!

Nice piece Bob! It Is somewhat similar to my Flint and Chert pieces with the blotches of coloring mixed in. Mine has all different colors from browns, greens, reds, yellows and an occasional blue. Here is a picture of some tumbles that I've done to show you the colors.

Thanks....I really like it too. I know I have some more around but have not found it yet. The place that I got the rock is pretty well snowed in this time of year. Summer before last we actually dug up an "Native American" cache of trade stone. Hurry summer!!!!! Bob
