I'm starting to like the rocks I picked up in Las Cruces a little more every time I work with them These first 4 are the Las Cruces cabs. Unknown Jasper Biggs Jasper Laguna Agate Unknown Agate from Jamie Chrysocolla from Jamie Jamie's pet wood Bruneau Jasper from Cal This is from some stuff I collected locally at Anderson Dam in Morgan Hill. The next 2 are from the agate pile in Deming Thanks for looking.

Geez Ed. There is just no picking out favorites with you anymore. The variety of shapes, colors, styles and shines you produce is mind numbing!

very nice cabs ed, all look fantastic. That 1st one reminds me of mookaite, colors a little off but I've done a mooka cab that looked very simular. I really like the Chrysocolla, man i gotta get some of that soon. The last one is really cool also, always like your moss and plumes.

Really hard to pick a fav, they are all sweet. The crisocolla and petwood are striking but the last two plumes are dark and brooding. Your artistry is outstanding. Bill

I think I need to go look at houses, specifically new construction, in Las Cruces. I love that first stone with the dendrites!

Not enough words available to describe them Ed but if I had to pick ... That Laguna Agate is stunning! The Chrysocolla is to die for! Altogether I'd say it's a five score!

Absolutely cool. Beautiful cabs, and good work on them Ed. I just love them all, but those last two agates are my fav.

Thanks everyone. The first one is a lot like bruneau jasper, in fact in some parts of the rock there are the carmel colored areas. The fourth cab is from a rock that-get this-they use to build rock walls with down there! I found a big pile that they just dumped in an empty lot. When I was picking out the agates from the Deming rockshop, I was looking for agates that I didn't have, and it looks like I suceeded. Can't wait til I see what's in the other pieces I got.
You scared me there for a minute Toad! Tweetie, no fire, just some yellow spots. This came from an end cut so I just ground off the outer shell and this is what I found. Steph, send me a PM, I do have more of that one.

Those are awesome!! I'm excited about the petwood, I have some from Jamie that I haven't even started cutting yet. That one reminds me of mookaite.

Amazing looking cabs Ed. THis has got to be one of my favorite batches of yours. I like that they are mostly earthy and highly patterned. Wow. I like the Demming pile ones and that secong demming cab is especially neat. So, did you find any poppy jasper at the dam? I didn't know you could find other rocks there too. Cool. I recall reading about rockhounding up there in a book, but I don;t remember it. Oh well. Thanks for the cool cab photos! Steve

Another great batch, Ed.
The Laguna reminds me of a lava lamp Jamie's unknown is really nice - pet wood maybe? The Bruneau - of course And that last agate from Deming! "The earth from space - with big ears"
