Yea I got some finished First up a couple views of Stoners Poppy Jasper- this was from a chunk he sent me- I cut it and look at what was inside! Then a jasper (Noreen?) got this preform from KD and 2 views of opal- I like this one a lot and some crysocolla (sp) from Jamie- what a fun rock to work with and and some wonderstone- way to soft- was actually still grinding on the 3000 belt! And the first of the Patagonian Agate- Here is a hunk of Traventine Oynx from Earthdog (originally from NMonyx) and the ones that need some work still (and a cabo-gone ) and a closeup of a Pet wood that really mussed up on the 50K paste- these are little chips that just popped up all over the stone- I think too much heat was involved??)

Love the cabs!! That first one looks like it has a tree ring in the middle of it. Ace job - well done.

Looking great Stef! I'm glad you're getting to spend time grinding. I really like the Patagonian Agate a lot.

Thanks all- The Boulder opals in the second to last picture are giving me a fit- the matrix is soo soft- I'm having trouble getting the scratches out from the 400 belt! The diamond belts finially got here- so after I break them in I'm gonna try to finish those up!

It's nice to be back cabbing again, huh. I am tin the same place. I had a dry spell when I wire wrapped but now it's all about cabbing! I got 30 at 600 grit right now! Anyway, I dig the shapes. I like the crysocolla and the poppy jasper most, though all look great. I especially like those carnilean looking ones in the rework section. Can't wait to see the finished cabs! Steve

Wow, I almost missed this post. I didn't know you cut cabs Stephan! ;D I really like your cut on the poppy. Nice shapes on all of them. The ones that need more work are looking good too. Glad you finally got the diamond belts. Once you start using them you'll wonder why you didn't take someone's advice a long time ago!!!

Nice cabs, Stefan. I gotta pick the Patagonian and the poppy to place. The 'needs some work' pile is lookin' good too.

Thanks- Mel It is HUGE- Kinda surprised me when I cut it- as the rough it came from showed no real outward poppies!
