This is proving to be one of my favorite materials, I'm sure a lot of it has to do with finding the stuff out in the wilderness, but I'm learning that I need to get better at grading the rough in the field, it isn't always this nice gem grade, so after an hour or so on the saw this evening, I found a lot of what I collected last weekend is nowhere near as nice as these first couple of pieces. But I am really pleased with the way these are coming out; A little pair of sliver cuts for earrings; each approx 7x23mm this little angular guy measures about 20x26mm These are each about 16x33mm This is 19x35mm and I think my favorite of this batch, a big one at 20x51mm; "I got a fever, and the only cure is....." more plasma!

Great looking stuff and cool shapes. I bet it must be nice to be cabbing stuff you find. The greens and blues are awesome. How is it to cut? Are those brown parts soft at all? Steve

Yes the brown stuff is softer than the greens, usually not a problem when cutting, but it makes for very dissapointing tumbles- and sometimes the brown is downright crappy- crumbly and porous, so pound for pound this is not usually terribly high yield stuff.
But where its nice, it sure is pretty...

man your plasma cabs turned out a lot better than mine. Very nice on all. I like the colors of the last one and the shape of the 2nd to last the best.
