I cut these two out last night and rushed home from work today to work on them. I'm pretty happy with the results, still didn't completely nail the perfect dome, but they are better that way than the others so far. Just a few mirco scratches on the faces. I picked up some rubber finger protectors today and they really helped! The green is from my trip to the Maricopa site with Dean a couple weeks ago, and the other is from a little slab I got at the rock shop a couple days ago. The green has a nice clearish milky quartz vien running down the center of it. The other is a beautiful butterscotch colored dendretic agate with lots of clouds and 'scenic' stuff going on in it. I don't know what it is. The agate took a better polish than the Maricopa, but I'm pretty pleased with both of them. I still need to get my outline shaping down a little better, and work on the full dome but I'm making progress!! Thanks for looking! ;D

Way to go Brian, bring them with you tomorrow and you can polish them on our machines if you want to, as a matter of fact bring a couple of slabs and you can cut a couple of cabs either before we go or after we get back from Date Creek. (That is if you want to!!!)

You are definitely a fast learner. Those look great. And if you're rushing home from work to finish them, then you've got the bug really bad. I know, because I do the same thing.
