So, I have a WF saw, recently purchased, still in the box because it's been too cold outside.
Next question:
Once you shape your potential cabs, what do you all do next?
My reason for asking: I've got an older model 3-drum (wheel?) grinder/polisher piece of equipment which I intend to purchase from an older gentleman here in my area. Don't know the brand or anything else (it was basically buried, and all I could see were the 3 grinder wheel thingies, which were horizontal, rather than vertical like I have seen in my recent research, unless he had it crammed in the shelf sideways). When I asked him about it, wondering if I could make cabs etc. with it, he adamantly said YES! And, apparently, you can also facet with it, depending on what's on the drums?. When I specifically asked about new belts or what exactly was necessary to get it in running condition, he poo-pahed belts and said it does need new 'diamond paper??'. And then he mentioned 'polish' as a noun rather than a verb.
So, anyone have any insight? Got any advice about what questions I should ask next? Got any pix of your older (25+ years) grinders so I could compare and have a clue when we go back?
