When I first saw the title- I thought you were referring to the process of soaking cabs in a sugar solution - rinsing in water- then burning whatever sugar was left in the stone with acid. This process is mostly used on opal to heighten the colors. I've never used the process myself but I've seen before-after pictures so it does seem to work.
Another nice cab. Thanks for showing.
