"The best one" is ... the best, indeed But that one with sharp corners is "very close to the best" Adrian

Nice job Joe. I like the shapes. So did you tell the dentist to drill the hole?

Joe, is that stuff incredibly soft? like you could drill a hole through it in about 2 minutes? It looks like something that I have that I've been told is serpentine

Thanx all! I drilled the hole with a Dremel tool using the instructions in Zoran's tutorial. The drilling was done after the stone was finished. This is NOT a soft stone. The drilling went pretty fast. I used a tapered bit to start the hole then finished it with a 1mm bit. Those tapered bits really cut through fast!. The dentist didn't drill the hole but he agreed to save me all his old drill bits! How worn out can they be after drilling teeth?

Happy Camp Jade..is harder than nephrite..most of this rock has some hints of grossluar garnet in the mix..even if you can not see it..generally speaking..hardness is about 7+...lots of low quality stuff has been sold as Happy Camp Jade..that has a strong serpintine influence ...but the better stuff..is nicer and harder...and harder to find......and hey Joe..thanks....Rich
