Here's the cabbed version of a recent rock trip. I didn't get to pack much out so there's only a few types. The best part of these was picking up the rock for myself. That's still new to me. I have no idea what to call this rock, so I'll settle with good ol "Jasper". Hope you like them. Steve First, the yellow ones: Now the reds with cool poppy-ish pattens. They are actually more brick-red in person.: Pair of pears. That line I thought was a fracture but turned out to be filled:

Okay, did I miss something? When and where did you go rockhounding? The rocks look great, especially the poppy jasper, and all the cabs are fantastic.

The first ones look like a moss agate not Jasper but I am no expert they are sharp none the less. You did well on the shapes and the shine. George

Yeah, a second trip might be in order, but once it cools down here. The yellow ones are tough because they have pits and the cracks are hard to see. There was two more that need recutting. Thanks for the compliments, but the rocks did all the work. Steve

Um, wow. Great looking cabs. And you are right, it's extra special when you find the rock yourself. REally like the yellow jasper.

Steve, I would watch out for Ed. I think he wants to raid your new poppy jasper mine. Let me know where it is and I will guard it for you LOL! Great cabs!
