I was gifted some diamond paste & instructions on how to apply the two different types to a resin belt - problem is, I have no idea where to get these resin belts - I found something but it was about $50 are they really that expensive? Can I use a worn 600 grit belt? Or will that be bad? Where can I get a leather belt and would that work? Remember I'm in no-purchase-land Canada
Thanks for the help

Not that expensive at all. Mine came from arrowheadlapidarysupply - about $3.00 a piece.

I get mine from Graves...... www.gravescompany.com They are cheap and last a long time. I love my expanding drum and resin belts and have no plans of switching to diamond sanding and polishing wheels. Shannon

Just make sure you are real careful about contaminating the resin belts. Keep each one in its own box or container and wash your stones real well in between grits. I keep all of mine in food storage containers, all in a neat stack on a shelf with the grit written in sharpie on the side. If a piece of grit or other junk gets ground into the belt it will ruin the finish on your stones.
