A few months back, Shain made some cabs for me and I'm just now getting to post them. I purchased a nice hunk of "blue ice" polka dot jasper from West Coast Mining. I remember thinking..."now what do I do?" Enter Shain. Basically, we shared the rough & these are the cabs I received. Can't explain why, but Polka dot is probably in my top 5 favorite rocks. Maybe cause when ya see a nice piece with good dots, it makes me laugh. (I like orbiculars too!) I love each one of these cabs, but my favorites are the top 4. (2 are destined to be set in nice mountings!) At any rate...I wanted to show you all the beautiful cabs & give a proper shout out to Shain. (better late than never...huh?)

Liz, that diamond with the dot in the center is my favorite.
I have some polka-dot pre-forms that I still need to grind. They have been rough tumbled a bit avter sawing, but not much else. I will post a pic. You would be welcome to one.

Very nice rock indeed! My fav is the freeform just above the pen's lid, it looks like a bird's head.

Those are definitely some neat cabs. I especially like (using second photo as reference) the far right one in top row, the far right one in middle row, and the oneon the left in the bottom row. Please be sure to post the results of the mountings.
