Before I got my grinder / polisher Stoner knew I was getting it and sent me some cabs in progress to practice on. There was one Rhodonite freeform with multi angles and a point in the middle. I could have domed it and every thing would have been fine, but chose to follow the angles he had set out for me.
There have been afternoons that I could have sworn he sabotaged it with a round wood rasp, four in fact, four bloody attempts at this thing and every time after 6k I find a new area different from the time before that did not sand out right.
This post is for me, it is my commitment to see it through. When it is perfect I will name it the Teacher, take a picture of it post it here and then hang it behind my grinder as a constant reminder.
Btw, my hats are fitting better now
