Okay, The WF blades are still not here, so I went down to the hood and bought some rock but that stuff just crumbled on the wheel (pricey too). So I ended up crawling around on the basement floor and found another broken piece of something. The results follow: jonesyjohn added the next day: PS - Sometimes my humor does not translate the way I want. My wife read this and said "What" I will explain, KD has called me an addict so the hood and rock reference are a joke that I went and bought crack rock to polish and it did not work, so like a true addicted person I was not done until I got my fix, which was the broken piece. sorry to be so obscure, my wife would say, "try living with him" jr

Nice scraps you have, they make nice cabs. So what was the pricey material that just crumbled?

I'd like to know how you end up with nice scraps like that under your table? I pick up all my little pieces to stick them in the tumbler pile.
What is that material? looks like serpentine

John, beautiful stone and cab. Glad you explained the humor. I was wondering what kind of rock you bought under your range hood.

Nice, John! I suggest when you get some more rough cut that you distract yourself just long enough to knock some good stuff on the floor, then next time you need some you'll have the primo stuff on hand T

Me too, but then my sense of humor is ... I guess I'll just leave it at that.
John, What ever you want to call this piece, I think it's gorgeous. It makes me think of one of my favorite poems from childhood because of the color and the sailboat shape.
"The Owl and the Pussy-Cat went to sea In a beautiful pea-green boat.... And hand in hand on the edge of the sand They danced by the light of the moon...
I love when cabs tell me a story!
