Excellent stuff Mel. You need to break more slabs!

That's salvaged material? Could have fooled me. Great rock and shapes.

Mel, I don't want to sound rude as a new member but everyone can see how nice they are. How about a little detail on how you finished them in the shaker after shaping them?

John: Actually I slightly mispoke. I shaped them on the genie and used the Genie through the coarse sanding, then took them off the dops and threw them in the Mini-Sonic with 220 grit for a couple of days till all the scratches and sharp edges were removed. Then used .5 micron AO in the mini for a few more days. Then, I redopped and gave them a quick hit on my fine wheel and went to optical grade tin oxide for final polish. I use this technique a lot because the sanding -prepolish stages takes too long and bores me to death. This way I can process 30-40 cabs at a time and finish them up real quick once they're redopped......Mel

Wow! I'll have to try that. I've been playing with Diamond Pacific's Vibradry in my Mini-Sonic to polish (14,000 and 50,000) but going through all 6 wheels to 3,000. I like the idea of skipping steps. I also want to try the Super Cerium polish. I've heard lots of good comments on it.

Somehow I missed this post.
Mel, if you want to get rid of a bunch of that old salvage stuff that's cluttering up the place, put it in a box and send it this way. :-)
