I didn't post pics of my cabs in Creating Cabochons section for a while. I am correcting that mistake. I know, I know, nobody asked but nevertheless ;D. Malachite Malachite with flash Some doublet opals and a boulder opal Boulder opal. This is very broad concept of a free form cabochon. ;D I plan to make a ring with this "cab". Tiger eye King Black Jade I god from snowdog. High quality stuff. Thanks, Dave. Green common opal pendant Green common opal earrings Thanks for looking. Zoran

Zotika, WOW! What some awesome cabs and spectacular material. That dark blue Opal is amazing, and I can't get enough of looking at those. I love that last set too. It's all so spectacular; thanks for sharing. Steve

I'm speechless....
okay I've recovered, those are beautiful! I really like the earring set in green! Awesome!
I have a question that you may or may not be able to answer... my parents are heading off to Hungary at the end of September, do you know if there are rock shops around there (I only ask because I recall you had some beautiful hungarian stones as while ago) I have to let them know what to look for so they can bring some good stuff back for me and not 10 pounds of leaverites... Thanks

Man you have the technique down on the opal doublets. They are flat out awesome. I need to try that one day. The others are outstanding as well, you put one heck of shine on them.

Thanks, all. Kim, medallions? I'll be absent to the end of the weak since I am tomorrow evening heading to Budapest to a mineral&rock fair. So tutorial must wait. (huh, this was close). ;D No really, what cabs are you interested in, a suppose those star like. If you want I could send you template in pdf so you could try on your own. There is no secret, only that I am using two templates bigger and smaller. Bigger is used for shaping the cab and smaller for drawing lines on top of the cab so that you can form upper plane evenly.
