Howdy folks, Found these rocks in a pile behind a bar at Salome, Arizona years ago. I kinda suck at ID'ing copper minerals. Was wondering any of you copper experts know what these are. The 30X40 is distinctly robin's egg blue while the other piece, though cutting exactly the same is much more green. Both took a nice polish but the surface is sort of pebbly rather than glass smooth. The bar owner said he just picked them up on the desert nearby and had no idea what they were. Thanks for looking....Mel

Hey, Mel! I like the shape and the pattern on the blue but like 'em both. Was that before or after you were in the bar T

Those look great Mel! If he picked them up close to Salome I imagine they're from the Harquahalas? Supposed to be quite a bit of copper minerals around there. I know if Rodney comes along he can probably tell you from under which cactus they were found lol

What was he doing behind the bar? Everyone asks. Watering the rocks of course.

*LOL* All right youse guys! I'm a non drinker ( My family is allergic to alcohol if you can believe it!). Stopped at the bar for soda pop! . Saw a rock behind the bar and was directed out back. Sodas cost about a buck each out there and so did the rocks I picked up. My kind if deal! Wish all rock cost the same as a diet coke.... Mel
