Can't say that I had the most fun I've ever had doing this one. The feldspar in it kept acting up and I ended up with a headache before I was through with it. Jamie urged me to post this one, it is Chrysocola in quartz. Spike

THey're both beautiful. Sorry the first one gave you such a hard time. It turned out nice though.

Nice work. The unakite came out looking real fine despite your headache.

Really did laugh out loud KD, didn't remember him saying that but it fits. When I got this I could not wait to cut and cab it, thinking I would make lots of cabs. Uh. NO not unless I decide one day that I want to be completely frustrated. Parts of the feldspar and a clear inclusion absolutely refuse to take a shine. Yeah, Yeah, I know, I did some research after and found out about the granite related properties which explains what I was seeing under the loupe.

Unakite is one of the rare stones that my daughter can ID no problem, since I told her someone had mentioned it looked like "vomit stone" - I quite agree (looked at KDs post and saw who mentionned it first)
Yours is very nice and I see a butterfly!
That chrysocolla is awesome - I don,t think I've seen one so clear!
