I sliced another RSJ nodule. This one showed great promise from the face cut, but inside no pattern. The middle slice is blank. The next one has kind of a cool ghost looking face; no pits on this one. I started cabbing the faced cab slab and it working up pretty good. I stopped to finish one of the other slabs I had been working on; the hotstuff had set and I wanted to finish it. Pics of that cab and some others tomorrow. face It looks like they are facing these in the desert with a rock hammer as they are uneven. Must not want to load the camels up with unknowns behind the face cut and one other the ghostly looking thing. I like spooky These are fun to slab; hard material, but fun. Again from the first slice to last two completely different looking slabs. I got 4 slab size cabs out of this a bit more than a quarter inch thick; the first one was about a half in at the widest point.

The progression of slabs is neat to see. In the last photo, where you see a little ghost, I see a little wood owl. I think you cut in to his hiding space. Thanks for the progression of pix. Lady B

With this stuff those will look great cabbed, I bet! I am grinding on the end cap of my bigger one, grinding the outside, and I'm amazed at what is coming out. It was plain nothing to begin with, just the outside rind, but cool patterns are emerging from the skin, just not anything like the rubbed face I saw when I bought it. I had to grind a pretty good while at 80 before I began so see anything. And then it is just squiggles... but cool squiggles T

Tony.. I have don the same on some of the heel pieces. Once I started see some cool stuff I switch to a 600 metal diamond wheel. It is amazing to see what pops out and how taking a little more off changes things.
Ladybeabea.. I see it as an owl too. When I cab it I will post pics; we'll see what it looks like in the end.

Such incredible personality in each and every one. What a wonderful rock you have there Spirit - And the last one really is "Spirit Stone" Excellent cutting!!!! The colour pallet in those stones has such contrast, yet ties together beautifully, how does nature do that? It's incredible Thanks so much for sharing your cuts, I can see you becoming the RSJ Master at this rate! Keep up the good work - And do drop us the photos - I'm loving all the RSJ pics your posting, quite astounding Sir! Cheers, Harry.
