This is a two fold thread.Folks for the last few days I have been photographing my rocks, fossils and minerals. The reason is I had a rockhound friend from Oklahoma pass away a couple of months ago and his dear distraught wife called me last friday. She intends to dispose of his collection and equipment and not knowing what its worth.Long story short,I with the aid of rockhound friends down there have that situation under control. This started me thinking.....if I suddenly assumed room temperature my wife would be in the same position.I am now putting my collection on CD's with the values,so she will have some idea what to ask for the stuff.I intend to update it yearly for now.Now on to the cabs................ first is a piece of fossil algae. Azurite morph Red Horned Coral Lace Flourite Chrysocolla Nipomo Marcasite Brad

I don't know what Azurite morph is but it's beautiful. Love the red horn coral too and that last one is wild, like leafless trees reflecting in a pond that's partially iced over. Very cool!

Wow, you have some amazing stones! So, and I ask this with all humility and practicality. Does your wife/family know how to log on here, if you ever end up at room temp? After your post, I have written down my logon and password. I guess if I kick the big boulder in the sky, I would hope my family would either a.) keep and use all my rock stuff, or b.) dispose of it in a great place, like here. Made me think!

I like the fossil algae and the marcasite but the Red Horn Coral is still tops.

Brad, Super nice cabs there and I love the variety of materials! The last one looks like my eyeballs sometimes feel! The Lace Agate sure looks like some Casa Grande Agate I got from bearcreek. The algae is way cool too. Thanks for posting some pics. Steve

Nice cabs; some very unusual combos. Good idea. I like the nipomo the best. Thanx for posting.

Brad those are some really sweet cabs. The red horned coral reminds me of a jellyfish. That Nipomo marcasite is awesome, never seen it before. Thanks.

Many thanks to all.....
Cher, you can tell I am an old school rockhound, morph means more than one mineral or element in the mass.I believe these days most( and I need to learn it) refer to them as quantums or a word similar.
karenfh, yes the wife will have logons to all the lapidary boards I belong to.I even made a list of private buyers to be contacted first. The Cds will act as her price guide and fingers crossed she won't get taken advantage of.
steveholmes, thanks for the possible ID!I aquired the chunk of lace that came from through and estate sale and wasn't sure what it is beyond lace.
Thanks again
Brad
