Hey folks! I've spent some time a few evenings this week working on my latest batch 'o cabs. Just finished up last night and took some pics this morn. First two are Pipeline Canyon from Jamie The next five I found on the Koning Agate pile last week with Jamie "Volcano in the Distance" from an unknown little slab Brenda. There's LOTS of 'old stock' Brenda on the pile ;D I believe this might be from the Springerville/ Luna area. And a couple of candy stripers. These might be from Brenda area also A WWR biscuit (also from Jamie Backlit Curt's Snakewood My first go at Tiger Eye Condor Thanks a bunch for lookin!

When I saw that first one in the middle of the group shot, I "knew" it was Morgan Hill cause I've got a bunch of slabs and cabs that look the same. It does look different (mossy) in the close-up.
Super job on the cabs, Brian. The red and white Brenda's my favorite.

All great looking cabs, fun material all the way around.I am a fan of a high polish on my cabs and see your cabs have that as well. Most, not all, of the cabs I do that won't take a high polish end up in my junk box.May I ask what your grit stages are and what you use for final polish?

Wow thanks a bunch gang!
Stef, I still gotta longgg climb before I reach Ed's plateau! Right now I'm just happy at my little base camp in the foothills LOL
Brad I have 2 hard diamond wheels, 80 and 220, then onto 400, 600, 1200 and 3,000 belts. I'm polishing with 12,000 and 50,000 diamond paste on leather. I actually used up all of my original 400 belt with this group (I got my unit late July), and the other's are about history too. They were the Estwings that came with the unit. My next cabs will be done with the replacement belts I purchased, Raytech True Circle belts. They're supposed to be superior to the Estwings, so time will tell I guess.
Thanks again for all your kind words! ;D

Wow, I haven't been around here much lately, but I see you've been busy Brian. Another excellent batch of cabs. Don't sell yourself short, I'd say you're climbing up that mountain pretty damn fast. Oh yea, you're going to love those Raytec belts, so much easier to install and remove than the Eastwimp belts, and they last longer too.
