Wow. That fire agate is a beaut. And the other two are pretty sweet, as well. Nice work.

I like them all but if I had to choose just one, it would be the fire agate. Ive only tried working it one time, and I ruined it.
Glad you got a day off.

Nice looking cabs, especially the fire agate. Now for the question I bet everybody wants to ask(or maybe I'm the only idiot!) What is Maw Sit Sit?

Oh yeah, the fire agate stands out. But Brad do you happen to have a pic of the Luna rough?
I have two that I THINK might be Luna agate, different colors. One I can cut and have, the other too big for me, even walked away from it four times but in the end knew I could not leave without it even if it meant taking my chances and taking a hammer and chisel to the bloody thing.

Awesome sparkles on that fire agate! You eclipsed that beautiful "Luna" with it!

I'm going with the Luna - that's a beautiful piece of it! I have one chunk with the light purple, but the other chunks of mine are all white. I'm saving the purple piece.

Many thank you's to all!
Ok Maw Sit Sit has been on the market for a while and I figured everyone was familiar with it,pardon for not saying more.Maw Sit Sit is named after the location it comes from in Burma. There are some who say its a jadite, that is incorrect. It is composed of chrome jadeite, symplektite.chromite, ureyite, chrome amphibole to name a few.It has a hardness of 6.This stone is classified as rare on most "official" gemstone list but very available if you want to pay $1.00 per gram.Maw Sit Sit is not for the beginner or intermediate lapidary. This stuff cuts a georgeous cab,but it will try to undercut and pit on nearly all grit stages.I have seen a few studies on it and each advised that it not be cleaned in a ultrasonic cleaner for it will break apart. The fact its composed of 6 or seven different minerals which makes it "brittle"(for lack of a better term). One of those work a little look alot stones when your cutting it.I first became attracked to it because of the neon green color.
