Cut a couple of rocks (they look like they could have come from the same rock, but didn't) I have had sitting around for awhile, am a little disappointed in the second one most of the pattern ground away. This is one big rock though so will have another chance or two. StonesnBones reminded me I had them, Luna agate? Spike

Spike, those are really cool cabs!I personally do not think that its Luna.Luna is skewed these days, true luna comes from Mexico. There is some orbicular material that is found around Los Lunas,NM thats being marketed as Luna.True Luna in my opinion will have a color of light purple to raspberry. It would be more aptly described as a tube agate rather than a lace.

Both are end cuts so the color is not so great, here is a pic of the parent rocks where those colors are more evident.

Spike,I think those are both great stones but as I stated before true Luna in my opinion is a tubular agate.Your are botryoidal ,so not Luna but still great material.
