Here is a batch I just finished up yesterday morning. I'm slowly getting better, at least that is what I keep telling myself.

Adventurine. This one has a nice dome.

Amazonite. Once I started grinding this one I found it had a fracture in the face. I finished it anyway just for practice.

Backyardite. Found this in some fill that was used in our backyard. Its some type of conglomerate. Based on how it cut I didn't think I could cab it, kinda crumbly. It ground fine though and has a nice shine.

Mahogany obsidian. I'm not very good with soft stones at this point. This one has too many flat spots.

Poppy jasper. I got a good dome on this one but it needs more work on the shine.

Saved the prettiest stone for last, some kinda plume agate I got off of ebay. Turned out pretty well over all (at least if you don't look too close). ;D

I can't cab Obsidian for Crap - I've pretty much given up on it
	I can't tell if thats some Gneiss Schist, or that Schist is Gneiss. All I know is don't take it for Granite

I'm with you on the obsidian. I find it a difficult stone too. Last two stones are especially nice! Love the Hornitos Jasper of course, but that plume is even nicer!....mel
