This a local limbcast. The first time I cut this cab it chipped. I reground it and it came out perfect. Right after I took the photo, I dropped it and it broke in half. At least I have a picture. ;D Curt

I hate it when that happens! Maybe you can make it 2 cabs. It was a very cool shape tho. Raquel

I have a friend that does silver work. She was wearing a pendant one day that had the usual bezel around the outside of the stone and a curving piece running right through the cab. I mentioned how striking it was and she said that's the way she mounts the ones she drops on the floor!

Man don't you hate that? I dropped a nice arrow head the other day and snap - 3 pieces. It is a nice cab or was anyway.

Great shape! Sorry about the drop. I like John's idea about saving it. T

I recently wondered why I drop only the pieces that are precious to me, then I realized it's because I hold and oggle them more, heh.

Curt, ya gotta learn to catch them on the first bounce. Sorry to hear, that was a beauty. Did it break along that upper fracture line? Looks fixable

It sure was a beauty Curt. I learned long ago and my floor where I do my cabbing is lined with rubber mats!

Oh, what a pitty! But if the breaking line was the one that is already visible in the picture above, I think that you could still make a very nice cab out of it.
Oh, now I see Brian told you the same thing, so bearing in mind his experience, that is surely possible.

What a shame. You sure did a great job. It's beautiful. Maybe you can still save it.
