Hello! That cabbing is indeed addictive, I couldn't stay away from the cabbing machine today This is my first pet wood cab! Local wood. front view lateral and a close-up, where the grain pretty obvious The shine is better but I didn't manage to catch it in the pics. Thanks for looking, Adrian

Great job Adrian! I knew it wouldn't take you very long to do some pet wood. Curt

Great work on some nice material! Love that pattern. So... have you ground on your fingers yet? If not yet... you probably will. Y0u will be officially hooked when you have ground off your nails and still have to go back to grind some more T

Thank you! Tony, it's a shame for me but I still have intact nails, despite the fact I made this cab without any dopping stick. So apparently I'm not hooked yet, but I fel like. Adrian

Tony, I still have the BO slabs from you intact, but they won't stay this way too long. Any advices in working them? It seems a special material, matrix a litle softer than usual rocks we work with.

Adrian the best advice from me is go slow. Also wet it down, look for the best pattern and center it. If you have some real soft stuff it would be best to stabilize it. If there are only a few pits use a gap filling glue with accelerator. Not sure if there are any hobby store where you are at but that is where I got mine. Post lots of photos when you try it, maybe the master crabber Ed could help too.

Adrian that is a beaut! I just love when pet wood looks like the real thing. You captured the grain well and it has a great shape and shine.

Thank you, Tony. I think you'r my only hope for finding out what type of wood might that be. I think you, working so much with all sorts of wood, could have an idea.
