Hello, everyone! From time to time, when I search the rivers for pet wood, I find some rocks (I think it's flint) which have on their surface a sort of ammonite imprints. Some of those imprints are barely visible due to the wearing of the rocks in the riverbed, but some are pretty sharp and even have some druzy on them. That's how it looks like such a rock: And now, that's what I managed to do from one of those (not the one above): height 28 mm, maximum width 20 mm, max thickness about 7 mm Lateral view: And a close-up of the druzy fossil (the "yolk" of the "egg") Thanks for looking, Adrian

Very cool! Will you leave it as it is, or will you try to wrap it?
Very, very nice!

Amy, I'd like to have the inspiration for wrapping it, but for the moment I have not . Adrian

Hey Adrian Check out this piece of jasper I found. Apparently these little critters were worldwide at some point. Don't have mine polished yet. Curt

Thank you everyone!
Curt, very nice rock! Turn it 90 deg clockwise and it looks like a face with big eyes.
Raquel, there's no second one, it's the same cab in 3 pics.

That's very nice Adrian. Perfect composition and a great looking cab. I don't think I would have ever thought of cabbing something like that.

Very cool Adrian! We have those in AZ too - I have a couple & made a cab from one that had 2 tiny little crinoids that look like eyes. I will put a pic up later this week so you can see it. Patti

This is one of the coolest things I have ever seen. Way to go, Adrian! I can't believe you have only been cabbing for what, a month?

Hi Adrian, Here is a little cab I made with a piece of AZ chert that has 2 small crinoid imprints. It looked like 2 eyes & a face so I cabbed it. It's cute, but not a great cabbing job as I had to work around the imprints without damaging them. Patti
