Hey folks! Just finished up on a few copper mineral cabs I've been working on this week from various sources. Some stuff Christa and I found near the Planet Mine a couple weeks ago Chrysocolla in quartz from Michaeljohn. Absolutely beautiful stuff and a real treat to work with! This is from Snowdog's slab table at Burro Creek. I had asked Rodney (the chrysocolla guru) where he thought it was from and his guess was Morenci AZ. Good enough for me Shattuckite, hematite, chryscolla, quartz, etc. This is the same material that I did the cab from Christa's birthday pendant with. Again I asked Rodney where he thought this was from, and if I remember correctly his guess was Ajo AZ. This was from a slab Rodney gave me from a recent shattuckite find he made. Just crazy gorgeous material Thanks for looking

Nice work Brian. The blues in those last 2 are such deep blues, almost better than Lapis blue.

Picasso went through a blue period too . . . I like yours better, Brian. The last one's almost like boulder opal.

Wow! Five at bats, five grand slams. Those last two are absolutely stunning. I could get lost in No. 4. Damn fine work, sir.

Dang Brian, liquid finishes. Awesome freeform shapes, how about coming over and giving me some lessons? Bring Christa and we will talk Rodney into BBQing something yummy for all of us. Those are beautiful.

It's always nice to have eye-openers like that, first thing in the morning! Okay, it's noon, but I just woke up. ;D
