I had a little more time than usual this weekend; so I decided to finish up some cabs that needed a little hotstuff and some more of the Amazon. This first one is a Tohoma agate/jasper. This material usually has vugs and can be cracky. This piece had both. I thought it was so cracky that it might not stay together, but it got more solid as I made the crown. The only hotstuff that remains is in the vug at the bottom and on the back of the cab. Next is more of the Amazon Valley that I have been working up and posting. This one had a big crack on the backside that worked its way out on the side. I filled the crack before I started thinking the crack might pop through as I worked it up. The bezel wire will cover most of the crack. I did up a piece of that RSJ that I bought from Dale. It was the one entitled sunset pink with dendrites. I cut it Paralell to the face and got some great slabs. This is one of my favorite cabs; so far. I also rounded up the corner on that one from last week I used a 50,000 grit diamond paste; for the first time. I have a flat lap with a leather pad; haven't quite got the water lubrication down. It was either to dry or was washing away the polish too quick. Thanks for looking

I use diamond paste on a canvas pad and lubricate with silicone spray.

The dendritic RSJ is a beauty, regarding both the pattern and the shape!
