Well, I've searched for about 35 minutes-knew I should've bookmarked the thread.....I'm going to dop with super glue (I got the gel-thought it might work better) and just need to know how to release it when done. I've got everything I need now to get started and am just not finding the TIME arrrrrrrrrrrgh.. I swear, I almost got up at midnight last night to go out to the garage-except that my SO probably would've pitched a fit. He just doesn't understand the fever!

Karen, you just have to let the cab/dop soak in acetone or fingernail polish remover and it should pop off. If not, use a box knife to help scrape the glue off around the dop and soak it some more. Have fun and hurry up!

When I use a dop stick, which is seldom, I use a nail and super glue. When I'm finished, I freeze it for a little while, then hold the cab in one hand and tap the dop stick with another nail. Pops right off, then you can scrape the excess off with a knife. Or do like the King of Cabs and use acetone Curt

Thanks all! I stole a little time at lunch here and pre-formed a few that I'll put on sticks to work on again tomorrow. I can already tell that I'm going to replace this SC wheel with a diamond one! Karen

When I've used super glue to dop, I glued myself to myself, the glue DID not hold to my wooden dop sticks, but held like mad to my fingers!- I'm no help, sorry, but I'm glad someone made it past the point where I was! - Superglue is NOT my friend - my fingers came undone with a little prying under warm water and lots of scraping - have you tried to open a faucet with no hands?
