Howdy folks, Worked on a few more preforms yesterday until my cold pills wore off. Man, this cold going around right now is one nasty mutha. I feel like death warmed over! Anyway, dendritic jade needs a little more work and I still have to figure out how Sands cut's all those nice angles on his geometric cabs but I thought I'd try one from Porterville Black Jade anyway. Also, finally got a good unfractured preform out of Arizona Rainbow wood too. Thanks for looking.....Mel

I don't know how John does it either Mel, it's not an easy thing to do. So, are these done yet?

Mel those are going to be nice. Sorry to hear about the cold. I had it a couple of weeks ago and it took 10 days to get rid of it. Stubborn bug.

I'm loving that jasper on the right. Is that one from one of your self collected rocks?
Get well, mate. If it's too cold over there to shake your cold, fly over to Queensland mate. We'll warm you up in no time (as my air conditioner hums in the background). Just remember to bring a few pieces of the jasper with you.

Mike: Yep, that's a piece of the new poppy jasper I'm digging just a couple of miles from our ranch up north. Dang stuff, like most poppy jasper, has a lot of fractures but I'm hoping that one will hold together as it's one of the prettier color combinations I've dug. *L* Here in Ojai it's actually quite warm. I was in shorts and shirt sleeves till I gave raptor presentations to a couple of fifth grade classes a week or so ago. Dang rugrats are carriers of every friggin virus going down the pike! Every time I get around kids or folks that have kids I seem to catch something * grumble*...Mel
