Whoo hee! This is the last bunch of preforms and now I can mark the girdles and dop 'em. Three Royal Imperial Jaspers, an Agua Nueva salvage job, a Laguna and another of those darn pitty Wingate Plumes. Thanks for looking....Mel

If you cut buff tops, you would be done cutting now. Just have to sand and polish. Seller finerock on ebay cuts mainly buff tops. I have some RI that I cut as buff tops because I didn't want to mess with the pattern.

You got some pretty stones Mel. I've been watching all your "ready for sticks" thread, and some nice banded agates. Anticipating the finished stones. Steve

That Imperial on the bottom looks mighty fine, Mel.
What grit do you take 'em to before they go in the vibe?

The red+pink imperial is outstanding, I can't wait to see it when ready.

Rich: I'll cut the crowns for the hard stones in this batch with the 80 and 220 grit wheels then sand some on the 280. Then I'll go to the vibe with 220 to finish the sanding in batches. Then, just for fun, I'm gonna experiment on prepolishing and polishing these in a small rotary. Recently polished a stone one of our members gave me that way and it came out nicer than I could do on the wheels. The softer stones, I just dop a few at a time and finish all the way on my Genie....Mel

Hey Mel I've used a small rotary to polish some cabs - most turned out great. I used AO polish
