This is my first ever contest. Maybe next time I'll put up a coconut geode for a contest. I cut and tumbled this over a year ago. Takila picked it out for the contest, so if you don't like it tell her! I don't even know what kind of rock it is. The part on the bottom is actually clear not silver. Anyway, name this thing then I'll pick 5 names and then post a vote. The deadline for submitting names will be Sunday night (8-19-07) at 9:pm central time, then I'll post a vote on the 5 names that will end Friday the 24th at 9:pm. NEWS FLASH: Nephrite told me he is going to make a Jade base for this shape to fit in, so there will also be a Jade base included in this contest for the winner, a collaborated effort going on here. Give it up for Tony everyone.... Here is the rock,

Woo-Hoo!!! Gotta love all these contests, and Thanks E-dog, for your 1st ever contest. What a cool-looking piece, it almost looks like Dryhead Agate to me. Let's ask Mel! Steve NAME Change "Grandpa Lost His Dentures!"

Thanks for the contest, Edog! First class cab for your first contest! I rotated the picture and a seahorse that is hatching an egg appeared to me pretty clear. Just have a look: As I know, male seahorses hatch the eggs, so I name this cab: [glow=red,2,300]Mr. Seahorse[/glow] Adrian PS. Also thanks to Tony. This way mr. Seahorse could swim into the ocean of jade.

It looks like an exray of someone trying to pass a kidney stone, you can see the waves of pain radiating from where it got stuck, so....
PASS THE KIDNEY STONE PLEASE

The first thing that came to my mind was: Polly wants a cracker. NOW, dammit!
So, I'm going to go with "Polly Puredread".
Sweet piece.

I don't know; it says Easter Island to me, right side up or upside down. Go figure. Either that or Quatzlcoatl. Altho I do see the egg, Adrian!
The Easter Isle folks always have seemed to be saying "Hmmmmm" which is too tame for this rock!
So, Quetzalcoatl Feeds
I spelled it correctly, that time.

Thanks EDog for the contest!
I normally try for quite calming names but this time with all the screaming pink/red I thought of:
Drunken Haze!
Kudos to Tony too for the jade base
