How much money will it cost me in gas to get from Odessa to the door of my uncles in Mesa, AZ? I will save all of my reciepts and add them up when I turn in the truck. I will be driving a 12' Penske truck. I will take I-10 all the way. Might make a few stops along the way but not sure yet.
The winner will get a flat rate box collected on the November AZ trip!! I will hand collect some really good stuff to put in the box!! Whoever comes the closest without going over wins the FR!! Contest will end on Wed, October 3rd when I turn in the truck!!
Please post your guess here............
Have fun!

Ooooh, a good guess at this one is actually going to involve some skill on my part! Now, before I get started calculating your fuel mileage statistics over your projected route accounting for slope effect, road surface and weather conditions, I need to know if you're only counting the gas you BUY along the way (ie only counting purchase receipts) or the total amount of gas consumed during the trip accounting for the amount you are starting with and the amount you have left when you've arrived? How much of that 2400lb load capacity are you actually using? Details, details, so many variables to consider... ;D
