Whoo hoo folks! Only six days to go till one of my favorite shows, the Orcutt Mineral Society show at Nipomo , Calif. August 3-5 at St Joseph's Church, 298 S. Thompson Ave. If you're anywhere close don't miss this one. It's actually an indoor- outdoor event. The inside dealers are fancy and pretty expensive but the outside dealers put on a great tailgate show with terrific prices, lots of rare and unusual materials, fossils etc. Even my favorite Durango prospectors are supposed to be up from Mexico this year. I've go to go Friday because I've got to do bird shows for the county fair on Saturday and Sunday but this is the show where I score some of my most beautiful and unusual agate rough and slabs. Plus, it's right before my b'day so spending limits go out the window. Yippee!!!! I'll post lots of pics of what I get when I get back......mel
