I went rock hunting to day at a private gravel quarry and yes I had permission..lol I found some jaspers ( least thats what I think they are), one piece of pet wood and either fossilized bone or..lol funny shaped flint nodules! One little jasper in particular is milk chocolate brown with black spots and stripes. The Large caramel colored one has dark brown spots on it too. The upper 3 dark colored bitroydal surface rocks are heavy and I have no clue as to what they are! I had fun.. no agates tho...lol Thanks for looking!

No kidding! lol Well then you see what I mean about the bone rocks? LOL When I first got to do my very first rock hunts I used to constantly have this fear of digging something or someone up I wasn't suppose to.. lol it's that bad.. Roxy

lol..should have been with me a WWR when i found a huge nodule of blue agate on the side of a steep hill...when i dislodged it ..it looked like a skull...i let go fast...I bet I would have beat Jack and Jill both to the bottom of the hill! and the rock came tumbling after. After I calmed myself and looked at it again..it was only an agate (whew) lol

LOL.. Well Honestly I've reburied some pretty damn cool rocks.. that as of now.. I still don't know .. just for the fact.. who know's who's all burried out in the desert right? it sure seemed like a strange little heap of rocks..but they were all cool rocks.. and I just kept digging.. and to be honest I started to run into some strange.. Looking rocks that kept resembling bones.. So needless to say I freaked and reburied them in under 10 seconds. and took off to find my Rock guide who by then was 3 hills over and couldn't hear me freaking out! lol Roxy

Lol you silly, rocks look nothing like bones. Stop watching those gangster movies!
Those look like they'll take a nice polish, agateheaven, especially that caramel colored hunk! I'd love to get out and break some rock but everything is covered by two feet of snow here.
