I am having a blast with my camera; sad to say I have not cabbed anything in a week; the withdrawal symptoms are becoming apparent. I will definitely be hitting the wheels tonight. I do have some I finished before I got my new camera that have been waiting to photographed. This is a t egg from the old opal beds in Oregon. It has a purpley undertone in bright light. I thought it looked like an underwater scene so that is what I tried to capture. This was an unknown moss from J2B2 it came from the Bass collection. I figured if a great cabber had bought it; it must have been good; so I bought some. Parts of the rough had pink plume like feature in the golden brown moss. It took 6 cut on the work force to separate that part of the rough form the regular moss. This was one of the best cab size slabs; so it went to the cabbing machine first. I did it double sided. There is one mostly healed fissure running between the druzy pockets from front to back. The area around the pink stuff was really cracky; lost a lot of material trying to get some nice cabbing slabs. back These are retakes. I'd say you captured that underwater scene perfectly! Really nice Larry. I'm with Cher on the Ocean Wave too, way too cool!
