found these two rocks in the bottom of a bucket. anyone any ideas. of what they are. the black lines are not cracks

first thing i thought when i seen the top one is turq. its prob not but that color is electric -- i think my fav stones are webbed

Is it soft? Hard? Chalky? When you cut it was there blue muck? It looks like its semi translucent, is it? It also looks kind of quartzy, is it? Is quartzy a word? lol. Is the skin the same color or is it a dingy black?

My guess is stablized turquoise. Get some pliers and heat a pin until bright red on a stove then touch the back side of it. If you get a slight plastic odor - it's been stablized with epoxy.

nope its natural. and a piece of jade won't scratch it. the skin is the same. mike

varescite (I probably spelled it wrong dangnabit!) is what my guess would be. It comes in shades from pale yellows to greens to skyblue shades and can sometimes be mistaken for turq. Has a slightly chalky look too.
Don't think it's dyed. Looks natural.
do some searches for both & see what you think!
