Here's a couple that I was able to squeeze in today. I also cut a few more pre-forms, but y'all will just have to wait. ;D lol.... The first pics is Blue Swirlstone from Kim. This is the coolest stuff to work with, it shines so easy that it's impossible even for me to screw up. ..... This one is porcelain jasper from Rockkitten, beautiful stuff!! I had been saving the slabs for the day that I got my machine. I took photo without the flash, the colors seem to show better...

They all are great Randy both the rock and the workmanship, the porcelain jasper looks like a vintage piece that has been treasured for years.

Face it, you must have done this in a previous life!! I can't believe the short time you've been cabbing, the cabs you're turning out...great cabs!! What a shine. Yowza! Dee

Thanks y'all. Dee- I think the biggest help for me is that I was no stranger to the grinder. I've been bench grinding pendants for two years, so I'm really comfortable around the grinder. When I did my first cab, it didn't feel like I was doing my first cab. The only hard part about this is getting them the right size for the mount. It's easy to turn out a finished product that ends up being too small. Every stage of the cabbing process makes the cab just a tiny bit smaller, so I'm learning just how big I have to start out. The hardness of the rock makes a difference too. The soft ones will almost always end up too small if I'm not careful. Hmmmm, I didn't mean to go off on a tangent. ;D lol

Lookin' good! I have some of that blue swirlstone. Since I can't get a shine on anything I'll have to give it a try.
