Here's my most recent cross... I'm a little rusty because I haven't been wrapping much lately. This one didn't turn out quite right and will probably need to be re-done... side... Thanks, Dan

Other than a few nicks it looks fine. The stone is sweet!! I wouldn't redo it.

Ya know.. I was never into crosses .. but damn that looks so bad ass in that wrap.. that stone is PERFECT! I like this cross vs. the other kind. you know the blocky kind.. straight edges.. Anyway.. very Pro looking.... And If I was me.. and I am. I'd wear one juuust like that.. if I had one.. which I don't (hint hint) lol

Thanks folks! Glad ya'll like it... the flame jasper is really special stuff. Did I mention that I got it from Rockyracoon? It's fantastic material and I think she has more of it on her web site.
The problem with this wrap is that the wire doesn't want to stay where I want it. You can see in the second pic that the wire isn't in the right place... it keeps slipping towards the front and doesn't hold the cross in tightly. I'm afraid that the cross will fall out. I like to make these as tight as possible but this one isn't up to snuff.....
Thanks again! Dan

Hmmmm ... Well .. let me think.. send it to ME ME ME.. Dan.. I'll just walk around and hold it in place ok? lol no use tho... I'd hold it and they'd think I was some sort of High Priest to some kind of Rock Cult lol.. But that kinda of jasper is Hot! so.. what's it look like in rough form? I don't think i've ever seen it before.. and I don't know where to find her site... got a link?

BEAUTIFUL Dan! Wow - that's just stunning - that flame jasper really is something. Going to keep my eyes open for some of that. You do such nice work - I wouldn't have thought it needed to redone by looking at it - but can understand when not being happy with a piece (especially when it's related to the rock piece coming out!). Thanks for the pics!

You know what I think already Dan! lol...Anywho, that Flame Jasper is awesome stuff...
We were discussing the other day how stones become popular and you can't have enough of it...then it's another stone...and so on. (us with jewelry sites that is) I wonder if this is true of those with cabochon sites also. Probably... ;D
Can't wait for the Woodward Ranch dig...no telling what all I will come home with. lol...

That's a sweet looking wrap Dan, thanks for posting it! I'm hard pressed to see how you could improve it considerably by redoing it, but hey it's your wire. ;D Rob
