Hi, I will try and show how I made the cabs. Step 1 is to cut two strips of what ever material you are going to use: Second step is to glue the two pieces together: Third step is to mark and cut the longer piece into several small pieces. The angle is up to you: Next shows the larger one cut into small pieces: Finally you glue the small pieces into one larger one and mark (I use a felt tip marker) to whatever cabochon you want to make. Anyway this is how I make the cabochons. Yes, it is time cosuming but I have a lot of time to kill. I have not made a cab out of this piece of material....I will be doing it tomorrow. Also, I am posting a red colored cab doing the same process: Good luck and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. gary

Hi, I found out 330 epoxy does a great job. I tried other glues and they did not hold. gary

I am going to give this a try too.
I have had an interest in learning how to make intarsias too.
Gary, do you give the surfaces to each of these pieces a nice sanding prior to gluing them together. The joints on the finished red cab look nice and tight fit like maybe you did.
