i was on another forum. i know i feel like I'm cheating on this forum . anyway. we were talking about taking photos of opals and how hard it is to get a good picture. and one of the members gave a link to a free photo shop like program www.getpaint.net/this is two photos one with out using paintnet. and one with it. i just thought that some of you could use this. mike

Paint is nice... so is Google's Picasa. I would probably only use Picasa, except that I can't figure out how to resize pics in it, crop yes, but not resize.
Both have some nice features that bring out the proper colors.

i would try google's. but every time i down load a google program i get a lot of stuff i don't want. i just kick off google earth because it change all my tool bars on my desk top and on yahoo mike

Ah... I'm pretty picky about letting it only install the program. But then again, I had to download microsoft's .net framework before I could install Paint, too. Haven't found anything yet that doesn't come with some drawbacks!
